Overview

This small chapel on the territory of the commune bears witness to his devotion to the oldest protector of slate-makers: Saint-Lézin, monk and then bishop of Angers, who at the end of the 5th century discovered the fissility of slate and taught the workers how to exploit it. From this date, slate which was only used as a building material for the walls was used in thin plates on the roofs of buildings. Saint-Lézin made his house covered with it.
