This film was made on the occasion of the centenary of the birth in 1887 of Charles-Edouard Jeanneret, known as Le Corbusier. Thanks to a montage of radio archives, it is the voice of Le Corbusier who comments on the film, retracing the life of the architect, urbanist, painter, sculptor, man of letters. The first part (1887-1929) evokes his childhood and adolescence and presents his first achievements, notably his "Project of a contemporary city for three million inhabitants" (1922) and his "Plan voisin de Paris" (1925).
