Overview
Located close to the town of Valiergues, between Neuvic and Ussel, this windmill, the last in working order in Corrèze, was built in 1840 and restored in 2001\\. Until the First World War, it was used to grind various cereals, thanks to its wings equipped with canvases, which rotated under the force of the wind alone, actuating the wheels inside. In 2003, he was awarded the «Les Rubans du Patrimoine» competition, which rewards initiatives aimed at restoring places of memory, thus contributing to the transmission of know-how related to heritage professions.
