Overview
⛪ Chapel of the Hotel-Dieu
Built in 1639 by the Visitandines, this 17th century chapel was decorated in 1742 by an Italian artist. In 1766, an architect is commissioned to restore gildings and sculptures damaged by lightning. The rich and astonishing decoration was then completed by the sisters of Saint-Vincent-de-Paul (icons) and by the painter Léon Alègre (scenes of life). 👉 The chapel, usually closed to the public, only opens for special occasions.
