Today parish church, previously collegial, the church of Chablis is one of the first Gothic churches of present-day Burgundy. It has been classified as a Historic Monument since 1862. In addition to its religious function, it is a place of heritage visited by lovers of history and architecture, pilgrims of Saint-Jacques de Compostelle (GR 654 Tonnerre Auxerre Vézelay) or the many fans of the famous wine of Chablis.
