Self-guided tour of the church
The church of Saint-Mards-de-Ferne dates from the 14th century. The frame was reworked in the 16th century. A remarkable beam of glory dating from the 17th century is installed above the entrance of the choir. It is listed and classified as a Historic Monument. Major restoration work was undertaken between 2010 and 2011 supported, among others, by the Heritage Foundation. This support allowed for the restoration of existing stained glass windows and the creation of a historical stained glass dedicated to Saint-Médard, patron saintMards-de-Ferne, the repair of the plaster on the west inner wall and the repair of the baptismal fund. This is the first participation in the European Heritage Days. The visit is free. Booklets will be made available to visitors at the entrance of the church. Informations Free self-visit Accessibility
