Self-guided tour of the gardens
The Château d'Imbleville was founded in 1491 by Zanon de Dampierre. It was certainly built to defend itself by water. The Saâne was divided in two against its south fortified wall and the only access to its inner courtyard was through a drawbridge to the north. The buildings have been constantly redesigned over the centuries. Its current appearance dates back to 1872. Its foundations are made of sandstone and flint. Its old bricks subtly change color according to the seasons and light: more pink in gray weather, more golden in the sun, pearly in the moonlight. In this year of architectural heritage, come and discover the architectural developments through time.
