🏰 La tour de Termes – An immersive dive into the heart of the 13th century

Last vestige of the vast medieval palace of Termes, the tower stands proudly on the border of the county of Armagnac, facing those of Bigorre and Foix. The immersive tour takes you back to the 13th century on the entire historic site, for a lively adventure accessible to all. The course begins upon entry: At the foot of the castle, the reception building opens the doors to a shaded park, where the blacksmith’s house is located, first stone of a village of artisans in the making, meeting place and entertainment. The medieval donjon, the heart of the course, hosts a completely redesigned scenography: Accompanied by Pierre and Agnès, your two companions of visit, explore a playful and original visit, mixing history, architecture and daily life in the Middle Ages. What you will discover:

• The history of the site and its architectural evolution
• The kitchen, the armoury, the stately room and the Aula, carefully reconstructed to recreate the atmosphere of a medieval palace
• A breathtaking view from the terrace of the dungeon over the Adour valley, and perhaps to the Pyrenees, if the sky is clear ⛰️ A journey of 700 years into the past, at the heart of an exceptional heritage site.
