Overview

On the occasion of the European Heritage Days, the museums open the doors of all their museum spaces free of charge. Visitors are invited to discover three complementary and immersive worlds in open access.

  • Follow the footsteps of the pioneers at the Musée de l'Émigration française au Canada, which retraces the history of those who left the Perche for the New World in the 17th and 18th centuries. Through period objects, life stories and interactive devices, this visit offers a unique insight into an unknown page of the history of France and Quebec. -Then immerse yourself in the warm and colourful atmosphere of the Musée des Commerces et des Marques, a real journey back in time to the heart of the 20th century consumer society. Reconstitutions of shops, old advertisements and everyday objects awaken memories and curiosity, young and old find their account.
  • Explore the temporary exhibition «En Classe! Retour à l'école rurale d'autrefois (1880-1960)». This free tour allows you to rediscover the world of school through objects, furniture, student notebooks or educational practices of the time. A nostalgic and instructive dive into the school world of our countryside. Let yourself be guided at your own pace through these spaces rich in history and emotions.
