Free visit of the eco-museum
The priory of Sainte-Gauburge is at the origin of a very well kept(preserved) hamlet the housing environment of which is grouped(included) around this building of the XIIIth, XVth and XVIIIth centuries. This set(group) is in the programme of the guided tour: the church and its sculpted decoration(set), the home of the prior in historiées fireplaces, tower of staircase adorned with sculptures, the vaulted rooms of the home of the monks, the protective orchard and a bend by the court(yard) of the farm and its peasant vegetable garden. The ecomuseum of the Perche(Perch), located in the remarkable executive(frame) of the old(former) Priory has as vocation to pass on(transmit) and to safeguard the geographical, historic and ethnological heritage of the Perche(Perch). The Musée des Arts et Traditions Populaires presents an ethnographic panorama of the territory percheron. Moreover, temporary exhibitions(exposures), animations, internships(training courses) and conferences give rhythm to the life of this ecomuseum throughout the year.
