The collections include textiles, social history, fossils, art, archaeology, natural history and much more. For Doors Open Days join a guided tour of the museum store: guided tours both days at 10am, 12pm, and 2pm. Access from Fort Street only behind the Grammar School, Fort Street, Ayr, KA7 1HU The venue is a museum store, where the primary concern is the care & conservation of the Museum’s artefacts. With this in mind, numbers will be limited to 6 visitors per tour. Tours are approximately 90 minutes long, there is no seating available so a relative degree of fitness is recommended. No food or drink is permitted in the museum store.
