South Queensferry Cemetery is in a beautiful location, with open views. The Commonwealth War Graves Commission care for 180 First World War burials there, almost all of them naval. There are also eight burials of the Second World War.
Additionally, there is a CWGC Cross of Sacrifice.
A tour will be given by a representative from the Commonwealth War Graves Commission telling the stories of the War Dead cared for by them in this cemetery, putting into context the work of the Commission in the past & its continued relevance today and in the future. The work of the Commission has architectural aspects to it. Though it won’t be the main focus it will be touched up and pointers given as to where the audience can find out more about the CWGC’s significant architectural designs.
