5 September 2025 (10:00 - 16:00) 6 September 2025 (10:00 - 16:00) Volunteers will be available to greet visitors and tell them about the church and graveyard. There will be displays of the conservation work and storm damage and of the recent archaeological analysis of a nearby excavation. The church and graveyard reflect the changing social history of the area and the links it has to the whole of the Isle of Lewis. Some of the different phases in the church’s development from the 14th to the 19th century can still be identified in the various building styles and features, thereby linking it perfectly to the 2025 Doors Open Days theme. The church is a short walk from the main road, where parking is available. The path from the road is wheelchair accessible, as is the graveyard.
