St Machar's Cathedral

6 September 2025 (10:00 - 12:00) 6 September 2025 (13:30 - 16:00) Situated in historic Old Aberdeen, this impressive 15th century granite structure is witness to 1400 years of faith. With its mediaeval twin towers, and world-famous heraldic ceiling dating from 1520, the Cathedral is Aberdeen’s oldest public building and one of the treasures of Scotland. Visitors can hear about the history of the Cathedral and restoration work, view original records from the 14th century in the Charter Room, take part in children’s activities, try ringing the Cathedral bells, and enjoy live music! Refreshments will be available.
