Quin Heritage is hosting a visit to one of the many stone forts in the Quin area on Sunday August 17th as part of Heritage Week. John Power has kindly offered a chance to see the fort at Creevagh Beg. This combines a short chat on stone forts, and the opportunity to view the structure. We also want to share some of the stories of these archaeological gems in the local landscape and look at their history, occupancy and eventual demise.
Parking is limited in the area. We would ask people to double up when travelling by car and ensure the local road is not affected.
This is a free event, open to all.
