This year the National Botanic Gardens are embarking on an ambitious project. We hope with the help of visitors to the gardens to produce an exhibition for this year’s Heritage Week theme. We want to hear peoples connections to the Gardens, what the Gardens mean to them? maybe the connection is personal, maybe a family member worked at the Gardens over the years, maybe the connection is to a specific plant or area of the gardens. We want to hear these stories and document them with the aim of highlighting the incredible social history a site like the Gardens can create over many years illustrating its importance locally, regionally and nationally.
