Moylough Heritage Society host two events to mark Heritage Week 2024. On Tues August 20th at 8:00pm in Moylough Community and Resource Centre, the story of The Third Order Franciscans in Medieval Ireland will be presented by the renowned medievalist Bro Colmán Ó Clabaigh OSB Glenstal. During the medieval period a number of Franciscan communities was established in Co Galway.

Third Order Franciscans communities were founded at Cloonkeenkerrill, at Kiltullagh, Glenamaddy and Templemoyle, Moylough. All welcome. Refreshments afterwards.

On Friday Aug 23rd at 7:00pm Fr Karl Burns PP will celebrate Mass at the ruins of Laught Penal Church. All are welcome. Refreshments afterwards in O'Boyle's Lounge, Laught.
