Overview

22.50 meters high and 350 tons of steel... The Cyclop is a monumental sculptural work that stands in the woods of Milly-la-Forêt (Essonne, Île-de-France). Directed by Jean Tinguely with the help of his wife Niki de Saint Phalle and their artist friends (Bernhard Luginbühl, Rico Weber, Daniel Spoerri...) The year 2025 celebrates the centenary of the birth of Jean Tinguely. The cultural and artistic programming developed by François Taillade, director of the Association Le Cyclop, associates the history of the construction of the Cyclop with the contemporary creations of the guest artists. These poetic and political works, imagined for some by the artists in residence at the Cyclop, will be sculptures and performances. From these works will flow fluids, smoke, a gesture or even an engaged word about our world, its environment and finally... the sound of birds to leave the voice to those who offer re-enchantment. Metal, wood, blown glass, the movement of machines, bodies, songs and cries that will announce this resounding anniversary: Æterna Flux. Informations Limited visiting places inside the work to 25 visitors. Free for children from 8 to 18 years old for the European Heritage Days. All other visit rates remain applicable. Reservation possible on the internet.
