On the occasion of the European Heritage Days, the Château de Rambouillet opens its doors for free throughout the weekend! Take the opportunity to (re)visit it, as well as its gardens, the Queen’s Dairy and the Shell Cottage! A beautiful program to explore the theme of "Architectural Heritage"!

The activities on the program

Rambouillet is an absolutely unique castle! In turn, princes, kings, emperors and presidents transformed it to give birth to this monument with architecture out of standards, heterogeneous and surprising. Open your eyes wide and let the facades and decorations tell you the history of the place. Placed at strategic points on the tour route, guides sharpen your gaze throughout the visit.

Discovering the profession of architect

Meeting (10am-12pm) Who better than an architect to talk about architecture? Asked by the castle from 2023 to draw superb axonometries, Antoine Tchydemian-Meyer shares with you the challenges of his work to understand the architectural developments of this unusual monument.

The JEPs of the Ambassadors

Activities proposed by the volunteers of the Castle During your visit, don’t be surprised if you come face to face with... François I! Or Suzanne Guiguichon, decorator from the 1950s, or even a royal guard patiently waiting for the King! The volunteers of the castle, our famous "Ambassadors", have concocted a very unusual discovery for you! Only one question arises: will you manage to send each one back to their time? At the end of the visit, enjoy the "Family Corner" stands designed by the volunteers: giant coloring or various games will be offered to young and old alike.
