Overview
After a first edition in 2023, the Grand Atelier meets for a second collective exhibition around the works of five Cloharsian artists. From children’s literature to comics, including photography, their singular works navigate between narrative and fiction.
- Cromwell Author-cartoonist, Cromwell has distinguished himself in the world of comics since 1985 with his nervous and virtuoso graphics mixing various techniques according to his desires and the stories he wants to serve.
- Guillaume Sorel Author-cartoonist and illustrator, Guillaume Sorel has been using his technique for artistic projects since the end of the 80s. His style reveals a great admiration for the fantastic and the imaginary in all its forms.
- Lauranne Quentric Illustrator, Lauranne Quentric publishes with many children’s publishers. Her universe of creation, both soft and joyful, is inspired by her place of life and explores graphic techniques that she puts at the service of the narrative.
- Laëtitia Villemin Like the humanist photographers, Laëtitia Villemin claims to be a 'polygraph photographer'. This expression by Willy Ronis, with whom she maintained a correspondence for several years, sums up well her artistic approach.
- Lucie Braud-Catmalou Writer and screenwriter, Lucie Braud alias Catmalou navigates between comics, novels, stories, children’s albums, reading aloud. Childhood and portraiture are his favorite fields of creation. other appointments: Friday, September 26 – 6 PM : cross-talk with Cromwell and Guillaume Sorel around their journey as authors – Robert Badinter Media Library. Saturday, October 4 – 6 PM : reading and meeting with Laëtitia Villemin and Lucie Braud around their collaborative work, Anonyme. Lucie Braud and Lauranne Quentric will lead writing and illustration workshops at the youth space, Le Balafenn.
