The Old Printworks – Simpson & Brown
27 September 2025 (09:00 - 17:00)
28 September 2025 (09:00 - 17:00)
The Old Printworks was originally designed as a grain store before being bought in the 1960s by a prominent Edinburgh surgeon. He set about developing the building with the intention of creating a creative community of like-minded individuals and companies.
By the 1990s, the building housed a variety of companies and individuals involved in producing artwork, animation and films amongst other things. The lower floors had become occupied by The City Litho Company who operated there until 2003.
Today the building is again occupied by a number of creative companies including the open plan design studio of Simpson & Brown, a practice of architects, heritage consultants, and archaeologists working on projects throughout the UK and overseas.
This event provides a unique opportunity to visit the Old Printworks, see our design studio, and learn about many of Simpson & Brown’s award-winning projects.
