Georgia’s European history is presented in the unique collection safeguarded at the National Centre of Manuscripts (10 000 Georgian manuscripts, 40 000 historical documents, archives, photographs, and rare books). We are doing our best to make sure that all materials are more or less accessible to the public.

Exhibition will present unique manuscripts such as fragments of papyrus dated III-II centuries bc. (Iliad and Odyssey by Homer, Histories by Herodotus); twelve century manuscript with inscriptions by crusades, Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani’s ‘Voyage to Europe’, Wardrobes’ Georgia and Ilia Chavchavadze’s Europe (including exclusive letters that have not been yet published), etc. Additionally, the photo-exhibition will be presented.
