The Poetry Chair, a possession of Limerick poet, Sheila Fitzpatrick, will travel to Greystones on August 18th/19th at the invitation of local poet, Frances Browner. Residents of and visitors to the locality will be invited to sit awhile and share poems and stories of their heritage and connection to the area. The chair will appear at different venues and hotspots of Greystones ... the village, marina, cove, south beach, Dart station, various shops and cafes, and in the local library. It will be a fun way for the community to connect through poems and stories of their area and heritage. The anthology 'Greystones you are ...' and other poetry collections will be available to read from and recite, or participants can bring their own favourites or compositions. Guests poets/writers will also be present. Come along and enjoy.
