The Scorff, from Bon Secours to Kervégant
The river Scorff, whose estuary goes back to Pont Scorff, is dotted with sites, remarkable houses and a chapel that marked the history of the town of Quéven. cf. visual - wooden bridge built by the Germans during the war. It spanned the Scorff. Placed under the dependence of the local lordship of Kerrousseau, the chapel, rebuilt in the 1950s, retains furniture dating mainly from the nineteenth century, including a marine ex-voto (painting) dated 1830 and made by Cosson-son of Vannes. You can see the Virgin rescuing sailors in the middle of a wreck in a raging sea. The chapel is also decorated with statues depicting The Education of the Virgin, The Virgin with the Child and Saint John the Baptist.
