One of our collections is the regimental archive of the Scottish Horse, who were raised in 1900 in the Boer War. John George Stewart-Murray, the 8th Duke of Atholl, was their Commander. Their headquarters were based in Dunkeld from 1903.

Both ‘old’ and ‘new’ soldiers are returning to Dunkeld to tell you their stories. At 10.30am we will re-create an old photograph of the pipe band marching down Cathedral Street. They will then proceed to Stanley Park to join the rest of the displays.
