Overview

Discover the restoration of a country villa from the early nineteenth century. Guided tour by the owners. Its architecture is characteristic of country villas of the early nineteenth century and its architect, Michel André Seheult (1756-1811) belongs to a famous dynasty of architects from Nantes. Its roots are ancient in local history. It was built between 1804 and 1810 and inhabited until 2021 by the descendants of Baron de Couëtus, right arm of General de Charette during the Vendée wars. Its wine buildings recall that the villa participated in the history of the vineyard philibertin. The Villa des Bretaudières is listed in the additional inventory of historical monuments since 1997.
