A talk by Dominic A. Prís on cycling on the Western Front Way. In-depth look at the historical route of the First World War frontline from Alsace-Lorraine Chemin des Dames, the Vosges, Lorraine National Park, the Argonne, Mihiel, Verdun, Compiègne, the Somme (including Guillemont and Ginchy, Thiepval, Lochnagar), north to Arras and into Belgium to the country around Ypres (Messines Peace Park and Wijtschate). After Ypres on to Nieuwpoort on the coast.

Incorporated into the talk are the social (how people react and engage with your journey), environmental (biodiversity astonishing flora and fauna thriving) and experiences of sharing historical discussion with French, German, Dutch, Americans, British and Belgian citizens, the development and change of commemoration and reconciliation – how commemoration has changed, its narrative, message and delivery through memorials, ceremony and text.
