Overview

Located in the department of the Tarn-et-Garonne, on the verge of the department of the Gers, the castle of Gramont presents very distinct architectural stories: the first one calling back(reminding) the strategical setting-up(presence) of this position gasconne in the Middle Ages, other one the penetration of the models of Renaissance in the southwest. The central body, built between 1520 and 1545 in the taste of Italian Renaissance, presents facades adorned with sculptures, interest of which will not escape the visitor. Elegant gardens in taste Renaissance. Furniture and tapestries of Aubusson des XVIe and the XVIIth centuries come enrich the house, saved from the ruins by Roger and Marcelle Dichamp from 1969 and given in the centre of the national monuments in 1979\\.
