The garden city of Homborch: modernism in the service of a cooperative project
Overview
Built in Uccle on the Homborchveld plateau in the 1930s, the modernist garden city of Homborch, like its landscape, has its ups and downs, but is full of charm and greenery! It was architect Fernand Bodson who brought this cooperative social housing project to life. The village-like character of a century ago is confronted with the challenges of today: the need for renovation and new housing, heritage conservation, a spirit of conviviality, citizen participation... The tour is with a guide and a local resident. In collaboration with Bruxelles Bavard and the Cercle d'Histoire et d'Archéologie d'Uccle. With the support of the Municipality of Uccle.
