The Tales of Beauregard
A true key revealing and deciphering History, Beauregard is a treasure still unknown in the Loire Valley, allowing you to see the Loire Valley castles differently. It is open to the public and inhabited by the same family since 1926\\. Chambord hunting lodge, built on the orders of Francis I, it will then belong to people close to the royal power who will not cease embellishing it. Its major element is the Portrait Gallery, a monumental work built by three generations of owners in the 17th century. It contains 327 portraits of key figures in European history (navigators, kings, queens, ministers, warlords, Turks, Polish, English, German, Dutch, Scandinavian, Byzantine and Albanian...). The set is completed with a rich lapis lazuli ceiling of astonishing freshness and a paving of 5,600 tiles of Delft earthenware representing the different bodies of an army of march under Louis XIII.
