St Mary's Church (built 1775-6) is celebrating its 250th anniversary! Join a free guided tour of the church that will reveal its unique history and architectural heritage at 12:00, 14:00 or 16:00. Highlights include an impressive matchstick model of the church by John Bionions (Camolin), the 1877 rose window with stained glass by Saunders and Co. of London, and the 120-year-old pipe organ by Conacher of Huddersfield, Yorkshire (including demonstrations and a chance to play the organ). A scavenger hunt for children (and the young at heart) is available from 12:00 to 16:00.
