All are welcome to a free tour of the Dominican Priory. The very first Dominican Priory in Connacht, founded by Meiler de Bermingham Second Baron of Athenry in 1241. Through the ages both Anglo- Norman families and Gaelic clans supported this construction. View the wonderful interior of this building that has left an indelible mark on the history of Athenry, Galway and Ireland.
