Come and see the splendour of St. Colman's Cathedral overlooking Cobh. It is an exquisite gem of Neo-Gothic architecture. Its lofty spire soars to 300' and encases the carillon in its belfrey.

The 49- bell carillon is the only such instrument in the country and is the largest carillon in Ireland or England. It includes Ireland's largest bell named St. Colman.

Guided tours will be held every afternoon for Heritage Week.

On Sunday 20th of August a recital on the 49-bell carillon will be given by Alex Johnson, USA. from 4.30 p.m. to 5.30. p.m. Alex Johnson is a graduate of the Royal School in Mechelen, Belgium.

The public can view the instrument being played on a screen within the Cathedral.
