Fairyforts - Dr. Jo Kerrigan (author of many publications including Irish Fairy Forts) is from county Cork where she has returned to following a distinguished academic career in the UK. She is a specialist in ancient crafts and folklore, devoting herself to exploring how everyday life was lived long ago. Clay workshop - working with clay helps to promote focus, creativity and self awareness in children. With Sabina Nagle art therapist. Bees - One third of our wild bee species are threatened with extinction. Hear how can we support them in our gardens and farms. With Dr Signe Martin of the Irish Wild Bee Conservancy. Forest School Taster - no experience needed. Location Tracton Wood entrance. Finish off the day with a Beile le Cheile - bring a dish to share with friends and visitors. All welcome.
