All are welcome to come along for an evening of story sharing and reminiscing. This Heritage Week event is an output of the Turlough Action Plan that is
being developed by Abarta Heritage on behalf of Turlough Archaeological and Heritage Society. It will be an opportunity for people to come along and hear about the work being undertaken as part of the plan as well as an opportunity to share stories and memories about times past in the area. The wonderful history, folklore and archaeology of the area will also be discussed.

Community consultation is an important part of the plan as not everything is always captured in ink and on paper. There is a wealth of stories, histories and folklore held in memory and often just handed down among families and friends. Some will be half remembered tales told by grandparents, strange things heard as children and so on, but they’re valuable. This event is a way of sharing some of those memories and connecting with the past!
