The author will share stories of the two islands from her upcoming book. "I realised that if we didn't have a written account of life in Ireland during the fifties and sixties, when our country was still in her infancy, it might all be lost. Heritage is continuously evolving and I wanted to show that we all survived, lived happily, through great poverty. Between Covid and the current political worldwide unrest it might just give young people a ray of hope that humans can survive without a lot of the latest gadgets we come to depend on."
