Overview
Overlooking the valley of the Loir and facing the forest of Boudré, the castle of Montreuil, built in 1848, is the work of the famous architect angevin René Hodé. It was commissioned by the Gohin family of Montreuil, on the site of an old castle, of which two remarkable elements still remain: a 16th century dovecote and a 14th century chapel. Exceptional viewpoint over the Loir valley, a true natural postcard of the local landscape heritage.
