The Bougon Tumulus Museum, the life-size Prehistory! Contemporary architecture nestled in the heart of a natural setting, the museum offers a trip to Prehistory to illustrate the first steps of humanity, from our hunter-gatherers ancestors to the first farmers. He is particularly interested in the Neolithic period, a fundamental period in the history of Humanity during which Man settles and builds imposing funerary monuments such as the tumulus of the necropolis connected to the museum by a journey of discovery. Built more than 5000 years ago, six megalithic monuments make up the necropolis of Bougon. Among them, five majestic mounds contain in total eight funerary chambers in which were discovered several deceased accompanied by offerings.
