The Port of Saint-Malo participates in the JEP 2025 and offers a guided tour of a tugboat, the 'Solidor' or the 'Cité d'Aleth'.
Port towing is an essential service for ships. It allows ships to dock if they cannot manoeuvre alone within the port. The tugs are always armed and ready to intervene in emergency assistance operations.
The tug is relatively small, very powerful and very maneuverable.
