This former mansion is a real architectural jewel of the 18th century built from a tower of the 15th restored in the 16th and 17th century by a receiver of sizes, Gabriel de Vigier d'Orcet. The Hotel d'Orcet became a sub-prefecture in 1829\\. The access door to the courtyard, under a double canopy, is decorated with a tympanum of the 12th coming from the door of the refectory of the monastery Saint-Pierre; it represents Samson striking the lion.
