Overview

In 1792, the whole of the Priory of Breloux was sold as a "national good"; the church was dismantled: one part demolished, the other transformed into a stable. In 1805, when the cults were restored, the new Commune of Breloux no longer had a religious building. A new church was requested. As the village of La Crèche developed, another church seemed necessary. A rich widow, Marie-Angèle Bonneau de Langevinerie vowed to build a chapel in the garden of her home in La Crèche. Consecrated on May 28, 1858 as "Notre-Dame-des-Neiges", the church was elevated to the rank of parish in 1866\\. The church of Breloux lost its primacy and was closed to worship around 1848\\. The organ dates from the end of the 19th century and was installed in 1879.
