Overview

On the occasion of the European Heritage Days, enjoy a guided tour of a former deanery of the abbey of Cluny, fortified site. The visit will make you discover the history of this site, from the 10th century to the present day, the organization and the economic role of the network of deans around the abbey of Cluny and will allow you to understand some details of the architecture and the fortification of the church. We will also present the improvements made during the last projects: repair of the roofs in lava of the chevet, opening of the north door, repair of the arch of the enfeu and the stone framing of the bays of the nave. These 45-minute visits are organized by the association Le Renouveau de Saint-Hippolyte, whose purpose is the safeguarding, animation and promotion of the site.
