Visit of the Sabathier mill with flour grinding demonstration, visit of the dam and local meal
On Sunday, September 21, 2025, from 10am to 6pm, the Moulin de Sabathier in Conchez-de-Béarn opens its doors for the European Heritage Days. Emblematic place since the time of the lord Jacques d'Abère de Béarn until today, the mill continues its activity thanks to a line of millers from father to daughter. Throughout the day, you will attend demonstrations of milling wheat flour from the property, and discover the ancestral art of granite grinding. A local meal is offered by reservation (20 € / adult, 10 € / child up to 12 years): seasonal starter, duck breast, fries, cheese, apple pie and coffee. The meal will be animated by the millers themselves, with accordion and drums, for a festive and warm atmosphere. You can also find the products of the Moulin: flour, chocolate chip cookies, Roquefort cookies, as well as a range of artisanal pasta (fusillis, coquillettes, rooster crests). The visits are free, a great opportunity to dive into the living heritage of Béarn. Informations Free activity. Paid meal. Provide suitable shoes. Accessibility
