Having located in one tens of kilometres of Vézelay, the feudal castle of Bazoches, family house and engineering consulting firm of the marshal de Vauban, famous military and civil engineer of Louis XIV, is located on a hillside, constructed in the XIIth century on the location of an old(former) Roman post, close friend(relation) of the Roman way Autun-Sens.
