Overview

Discover the departmental depot of movable objects which mainly houses liturgical ornaments of Catholic worship from the 17th to the 20th century (chapes, bibs, stoles, manipules, purses...). You will be able to admire these clothes and their accessories, essentially made of silk and often embroidered and, under the guidance of the curators, you will familiarize yourself with their manufacturing processes. The history of the convent and its chapel, built under Napoleon III by the architect Charles Roques from Anjou, will be presented to you in the preamble of the visit. A visit is offered in sign language at 3:15 pm on Saturday. Informations Guided tours of about half an hour, provided by the conservators of the Department. Limited to 15 people.
