Overview

On the occasion of the European Heritage Days, enjoy a guided tour of the church of Champlitte-la-Ville, built in the 11th century under the name of Saint-Christophe (not to be confused with that of the same name, from the town of Champlitte, which is 1 km away). You will be able to admire its monolithic octagonal baptismal font from the 11th century, its portal decorated with 14th-century trumeau, a bas-relief of the Virgin with the seven Sorrows from the 16th century, a Eucharistic wardrobe with a 16th-century oculus, many tombstones and epitaph murals dating from the 14th to 18th centuries and mural paintings from the end of the 14th century.
