Visit of the site Saint-Dominique, collège Saint-Charles
Collège Saint-Charles is a private Catholic institution under an association contract with the State. It was born at the start of the 2021 academic year when the two colleges of the Saint-Charles school complex merged: Le Devoir and Saint-Dominique. It has the particularity of operating on two different sites with specific proposals from the history of each. It was in 1621 that the Dominicans settled in Chalon-sur-Saône to accomplish a mission of education. In 1844, they integrate the current buildings of the Avenue de Paris and welcome young girls in boarding school. It was not until the middle of the 20th century that the college became mixed. The Saint-Dominique site welcomes about 500 students in 17 classes from the 6th to the 3rd.
