El Museo Etnológico de San Juan de Plan que  celebra en 2023 su 40 aniversario,  se creó por iniciativa de un grupo de mujeres que formaban parte de la Asociación Corro d’es Bailes.

Las difíciles comunicaciones posibilitaron que el recóndito valle de Chistau conservase la rica cultura tradicional que le otorga su personalidad diferencial.  Hoy podemos conocer esta cultura a través de los objetos conservados en este museo, recorriendo las calles de San Juan de Plan y otros espacios como el molino y el taller de artesanía textil y sus telares.

The Ethnological Museum of San Juan de Plan , which celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2023, was created at the initiative of a group of women who were part of the Corro d'es Bailes Association.

The difficult communications made it possible for the remote Chistau valley to preserve the rich traditional culture that gives it its distinctive personality. Today we can learn about this culture through the objects preserved in this museum, walking through the streets of San Juan de Plan and other spaces such as the mill and the textile crafts workshop and its looms.
