Voices from History - Inspiring and Creative Uses of Oral History
The Oral History Network of Ireland is very excited to be hosting ‘Voices from History – Inspiring and Creative Uses of Oral History’, an event that will explore how oral histories can be used creatively to reach out to communities and engage people in stories from the past.
Skibbereen Heritage, Elders of Clonmel, and Tipperary Town Memories will be sharing their experiences of using oral histories to engage different age groups and inspire creative projects, we’ll also be hearing snippets from the histories they have collected before we open the floor to your thoughts for a Q&A session. Come along for lots of inspiration, ideas, and examples, and to enjoy some tea, coffee, and light refreshments!
Please register for a free ticket via the OHNI website and bring along your questions to Cork City Library on Thursday 22 August, we’ll see you there from 3pm – 4:30pm.
