Saint Barbara Mine will host several interactive workshops dedicated to mining heritage. The emphasis of this year's event is placed on the underground as a specific segment of architectural heritage. This year's event presents the underground as a specific segment of architectural heritage through extended mine tours that will for the first time include otherwise inaccessible areas of the mine. As part of the event, experts from the Faculty of Mining, Geology and Petroleum Engineering will present scientific projects related to geology, maintenance and techniques of underground mining space support. For the youngest visitors, educational workshops on searching for copper ore and making souvenirs, art workshops inspired by the mining environment and work with traditional mining tools are organized. The program also includes preparation of traditional mining dishes and workshops on making mining rake cakes as protected intangible cultural heritage.
